I’m not usually a huge fan of sweets, or of sugar in general, so when we enjoy some camping (or even a little pseudo-camping), making and eating S’mores is a seriously special treat for our family!
We’ve only had 1 backyard (pseudo) camping experience so far this summer, and I’m pretty determined to get a couple more in before the end of the season! One of my camping requirements is to get to eat one of these tasty (though admittedly less than optimally healthy) treats. I don’t really know what it is, but camping just isn’t camping without making S’mores. I like to pack some granola and fresh fruits, so it all kinda evens out, right? Smile and nod.
