A few glimpses into our last few weeks. I told you we’ve been busy.
Archery has become a favorite pastime, and we’re blessed to live near a couple places with some great instructors and great indoor shooting ranges. I’m going to have to look into the leagues they have starting up soon and see if we’d be able to manage to put a team together. 🙂
That kid standing by Jaron, watching his shot? Oh, that’s just our new friend, Jake Whitcomb. (2nd place at the NASP world shoot this summer)
No pressure. 😉
And then there’s Tae Kwon Do.
The only time they’re allowed to punch and kick each other 🙂
What started as continuing therapy for Ian, has become a great way for the family to get in shape together.
The apple trees in my parents’ yard were absolutely loaded this year!
So we’ve been doing a whole lot of this! We have many quart bags of dehydrated apple slices, and quite a few bags of apple slices blanched and frozen, ready to be pulled out and used in apple pies or my personal favorite, apple crisp! I even made a crock pot full of spiced apple juice!
Have I mentioned that we currently have a giant hole in our house? Don’t worry, it was intentional. We’re turning our garage into living space, so we can have some more, well, living space. 🙂
And this little guy, who’s growing up way too fast, has been having a blast with trucks and dirt, and some days I just love to watch him play. I love watching that little imagination in action. Those moments warm my mothering heart. Those are some of the moments that I wish I could bottle up to take out on a rainy day 20 years from now…
What about you? What have you been up to lately?
Looks like a wonderful busy! I can smell that spiced apple juice right now. Yum!
Thanks for sharing the pictures of your family having fun. Archery is a great sport, one my son loves. He has attempted to make a few bows but just as he is getting near the finished product the wood splits. I’m sure he’ll figure out what he is doing wrong one day but in the mean time he just keeps working on it. 🙂
Have a blessed weekend.
Yay for lots of good busy-ness going on!! 😀
xoxo
