I told you I had more in store!
At the end of a bad day, Norbert the little elephant is not feeling very special, but Mother Elephant reminds her son that she will always choose him, and so will God. Watch Norbert’s self-worth* grow as Mother Elephant gives him a special blessing through meaningful touch, spoken words, expressing high value, picturing a special future, and making an active commitment.
Based on the million-selling book The Blessing by John Trent, I’d Choose You!
shows parents how to give the five elements of a biblical blessing to their child. It even includes a page where parents can write their own blessing, creating a one-of-a-kind keepsake for a very special child.
A key resource in the Blessing Challenge being taken by parents across the country!
*Quick disclaimer- anyone who knows me knows I’m not a fan of the pop psychology concepts of self-esteem and self-worth. In fact, I actually think most people, including most children, actually have too high an opinion of themselves… but that is a subject for another day. That being said, we all have a need and desire to be loved and accepted, especially by the people closest and most important to us…
This book is a sweet and simple example of the way a parent’s blessing can change the word, in that moment, for a child.
I read, and truly appreciated, The Blessing several years ago. After reading I’d Choose You!
, I’ve been re-inspired to be a blesser! I don’t want my children to go another day without knowing, really knowing, how much I love them, and how much they are loved and cherished by the Lord.
What about you? Have you made a conscious effort to bless you child(ren) today? I pray for parents, mother’s especially, across this nation and into the world beyond, that we would really catch a vision for loving and blessing our children!

This books sounds fantastic. I would love to have it to read with my kids.
I am also following you on twitter!
I put together a digital photo album for our oldest daughter and added letters to her at the end and she just loves that thing. Being able to add a personal blessing to a book like this would be neat.
I follow you too.
As we are looking into adoption, this book takes on a whole other meaning to me. Would love to share it with my kiddos! 🙂
